AGE RESTRICTIONS AT THE CON:
All children under 17 in the Main Hall must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Children under 6 are NOT allowed in the Gaming Areas at any time. Children under 11 will NOT be allowed in the Gaming Areas after 6pm. Children under 14 will NOT be allowed in the Gaming Areas after 10pm.

Yes, if you do decide to transfer the ticket, then please Contact Us and let us know. Please note: Scalping will void your tickets and ban you for life.
CAN I PURCHASE A BADGE AT THE EVENT:
Unfortunately, there is not enough space for walk-in attendees. ALL badges must be pre-registered.
Refunds will be given until August 15th. You may still resell your tickets after that, for the exact amount paid, up until September 15th. Please note: Scalping will get you banned for life.
*** If the hotel is forced to cancel the convention, we will forward your ticket to our next event. These are unprecedented times.
SHOULD I UPDATE MY NAME IN THE REGISTRATION TOOL?:
Yes, and it is encouraged. Please update your information on Tabletop.events as we will pull it from there.
DO I NEED TO GET A PHYSICAL TICKET PRINTED OUT OR MAILED TO ME?:
This is unnecessary, however you should have your ticket details handy (via a printout, saved email, or via Tabletop.events app).
MY REGISTRATION NAME DOES NOT MATCH MY ID:
You need to update your online registration information via Tabletop.events and let us know immediately. We require that your identification matches the badge. Please contact Ashleigh at EscapeWinterCon . com to let us know.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE A HOTEL ROOM TO ATTEND THE CON:
You are not required to have a room at the host hotel, but doing so is what allows us to negotiate the room prices down, and run the con, so we highly recommend it! It also makes gaming to later hours more feasible every day. Virtually everyone that does not get a room and drives in regrets the lost opportunities from not staying on site.

IS MERCHANDISE ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH PRE-ORDER?:
No, but pre-ordering means that you get the size you want and a discount guaranteed. If you really want something, and it sells out, don’t forget we warned you.
DO I REALLY GET A DISCOUNT FROM PRE-ORDERING?:
Yes, it varies from item to item, but you pay less and guarantee you get the item(s) you want.
Players like you can purchase a table to sell their excess games at our designated Flea Market. It occurs only one day of the con, and tends to be very popular! It will be Saturday at 7 pm, check the convention book for the location.
VIRTUAL FLEA MARKET:
The Virtual Flea Market is an online sale page on BoardGameGeek.com. People will list the games they have for sale, and then you can tell them what you would be willing to pay for it. At the convention you will exchange the game for the money. There will be a specific time and place to meet to exchange your games, but you can arrange to do it before that.
Math Trade is a feature of BoardGameGeek.com. It features an algorithm that automatically finds trades between a large number of gamers. Plug in what games you want, and what you have to trade, and then just show up at the con to collect! There will be a specific time and place to meet to exchange your games, but you can arrange to do it before that.
GAMING & EVENTS:
CAN I CONTRIBUTE TO THE CON:
Absolutely, although we may hit a limit on how many we may be able to have aboard. Visit the Escape Winter Con Crew page for more information.
WHAT IS A DEMO:
A demo is a game run to teach new players, and will be shorter.
WHAT IS AN EVENT:
An event you will get to play, but may also learn from the other players. An event will supply as many people as we have copies of, so if you have a copy of the game, please bring it.
WHAT IS A TOURNAMENT:
First, you must already know how to play the game. A registration desk is available at the convention to signup for all events. This will let you know when and where the event is happening. Take a look at our Events Page. Multiple rounds may be played until there is only 1 winner! There will be ribbons (and potentially prizes) for 1st to 3rd places.
IS THERE A LIBRARY OF GAMES:
We have a large collection of games you can sign out for. We only ask that you take good care and return them the way you found them.
CAN I BRING MY OWN GAMES:
Of course! We encourage it! The con provides a massive open gaming area.
SOCIAL DEDUCTION GAMES/ LATE NIGHT WEREWOLF:
Werewolf is a popular social game of deceit and deduction. Around 9 pm each night (excluding Sunday) we begin playing, and quite often people will keep playing new rounds all night long!
