Harassment Policy

We pride ourselves in having a family-friendly convention and will not tolerate unacceptable behavior. Unacceptable behaviors include: vulgar, intimidating, harassing, abusive, derogatory, discriminatory, or demeaning conduct by any Attendees and Con Crew of Escape Winter Convention and its related events and functions. Some Escape Winter Convention venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations. Harassment includes:

  • Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
  • Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Harassing photography or recording.
  • Sustained disruption of events.
  • Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.

Engaging in any of these acts puts you at risk for immediate removal from the convention, and a permanent ban from The Escape Winter Convention in the future. This goes for anyone regardless of gender identity.

The Escape Winter Con Badge Policy

Attendees must wear a name badge at all times to be in any convention function or space. No exceptions!

Hotel Quiet Times

The Hotel has quiet time each day from 10PM to 9AM. When going outside during these times, please show respect to others. You wouldn’t want someone waking you or your family up, so return the favor!

Health, Hygiene, and Hospitality

Please Follow the law of 6/2/1 each day:

6 Hours of Sleep

2 Meals a Day

1 Shower A Day

PLEASE Note, these are minimums!

Please be courteous to those around you and adhere by these guidelines, and please stay hydrated!

Outside Doors / Access

Please do not prop doors open to outside for any reason.

There are smoking areas outside the buildings around the gaming areas outside. Florida is a smoke-free state, which applies to all public areas. Smoking is regulated to 20 feet away from all public entrances. This also includes vaping / e-cigarettes.

The convention is a family-oriented show, so no alcoholic beverages are allowed in convention areas.

Remember there is no running, and be careful of other people.  We are all excited to be gaming, but don't ruin someone else's time.

Children / Younger Players

Children aged 6-11 may only be in gaming areas from 9am to 6pm, no children under 6 are allowed in the gaming area.

No Animals

No pets are allowed in convention areas except for service animals.

No Weapons

No Weapons of any kind are allowed at the con. This includes simulated weapons, water guns, ping-pong pistols, rubber knives, etc. Any breaking of this policy will get you expelled from the con, along with a potential call to the local authorities.
